BuzzerBlog: 🌍 3.9-Magnitude Earthquake Shakes San Francisco Bay Area – Sudden Jolts Leave Residents Stunned!

A 3.9-magnitude earthquake rattled the San Francisco Bay Area at 7:46 p.m. on Monday, with its epicenter near Dublin, according to preliminary data from the U.S. Geological Survey.

The quake caused sharp shaking lasting around 10 seconds, impacting areas including the South Bay, Peninsula, North Bay, San Francisco, and the East Bay.

For Haley Correa, a Stockton native, it was a memorable first.

“I’m 32, and this is the first earthquake I ever felt,” Correa said while dining in Dublin. “We were just sitting here eating, and suddenly everything started rocking.”

While some described the quake as a swaying motion, others felt a sudden jolt.

Initially reported as a 4.2-magnitude tremor, it was later revised to 4.0 and then 3.9. The USGS recorded at least four aftershocks above magnitude 2.0, with a 19% chance of another quake above 3.0.

No immediate reports of damage have surfaced.
