The 2025 IIFA Awards, held in Jaipur, was a star-studded night filled with breathtaking performances from Bollywood’s biggest names. However, the highlight of the evening was the nostalgic tributes by Kareena Kapoor Khan and Madhuri Dixit, leaving fans in awe.
Kareena Kapoor’s Tribute to Raj Kapoor & Nargis
- Raj Kapoor Tribute: Kareena performed to “Mera Joota Hai Japani” from Shree 420, dressed in a black outfit, grey jacket, fedora hat, and carrying a potli, perfectly recreating her grandfather Raj Kapoor’s legendary look.
- Nargis Tribute: She danced to “Pyar Hua Ikrar Hua”, wearing a classic black-and-white saree, evoking nostalgia for the golden era of Bollywood.
- Bobby Tribute: Kareena also grooved to “Jhoot Bole Kauva Kate”, a hit song from Bobby (1973), which starred Rishi Kapoor and Dimple Kapadia.
The tribute comes after the Kapoor family’s December celebration of Raj Kapoor’s 100th birth anniversary in Mumbai, where Bollywood A-listers and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were invited to honor the legendary filmmaker’s legacy.
Madhuri Dixit’s Electrifying Performance
- The Dhak Dhak girl set the stage on fire with her iconic dance on “Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai” from Khal Nayak.
- The biggest surprise of the night was Madhuri’s reunion with Shah Rukh Khan, as the duo recreated their magical moments from Dil To Pagal Hai (1997), thrilling ’90s Bollywood fans.
